About Host Institute

The Department of Computer Science was established in August 1994. The Department of Computer Science was renamed to School of Computer Sciences in 2011. The School encompasses four departments, viz. Department of Computer Applications, Department of Computer Science, Department of Information Technology and UGC Computer Center. With its diverse programs such as M.C.A., M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Data Science), B.Sc. (Computer Science), and Doctoral research program (Ph.D.) align with the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), the School has earned recognition for its commitment to academic excellence and industry relevance. 

The School of Computer Sciences at Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, is a focused centre for teaching, research, and industry engagement in computing disciplines. It offers contemporary undergraduate and postgraduate programs, supported by well-equipped laboratories and up-to-date software tools that enable hands-on learning in areas such as data science, artificial intelligence, networking and cybersecurity. The faculty combine academic rigor with applied experience, supervising research projects and encouraging publication and conference participation. The school maintains active ties with industry and other academic institutions to provide internships, guest lectures, and placement support, while embedding employability and soft-skills development into the curriculum. Through workshops, certification courses, and community outreach, it prepares students to address real-world problems and to contribute to regional technological development. Continuous curriculum revision, student mentoring, and a results-oriented training culture ensure graduates are ready for both advanced study and immediate professional roles.
