About the University Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (KBC NMU), Jalgaon, established on 15 August 1990, is a premier public university in the state of Maharashtra, India. Named in honor of the eminent Marathi poetess Bahinabai Chaudhari, the University has steadily evolved into a distinguished center for higher education, research, and innovation. About the School of Mathematical Sciences The School of Mathematical Sciences (SoMS) is one of the key academic units of the University, comprising the Departments of Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science. The School is dedicated to fostering strong theoretical foundations alongside practical and computational expertise in mathematical and statistical sciences. It offers a range of academic programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, including specialized courses such as M.Sc. in Mathematics (with Computational Mathematics), M.Sc. in Statistics (with Industrial Statistics), and programs in Actuarial Science. The curriculum is designed to align with contemporary academic and industry requirements, emphasizing analytical thinking, data-driven decision-making, and computational proficiency.
