Regular Activities :-
1. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Earn and Learn Scheme :-
The main objective of the scheme is to develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic excellence and commitment to an egalitarian society. India lives in villages and to bridge the gap between rural India and urban India, this scheme is basically undertaken for the benefit of students of rural areas, who are economically backward, intelligent, and meritorious but cannot afford higher education, It inculcates in the student the idea that no work is big or small and develops a work culture with the right aptitude. This is a paradigm shift in the way we see higher education. This will make education accessible and available to the poor, needy meritorious and marginalized.
The scheme is currently being implemented at the post-graduate level on the University campus as well as at the graduate level in the affiliated colleges and recognized institutions under the jurisdiction of the Kavyitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon . Financial assistance to the extent of hundred percent of the expenditure incurred by the affiliated colleges / institute is reimbursed to the concerned on submitting the necessary papers to the Director, Dept. of Students’ Development.
The students enrolled under the scheme are given the following types of work namely – office work, technical work and field work. While the distributing work almost case is taken that all students get equal opportunity to get all different kinds of work and that each student gets 80 % of technical work and 20 % of fieldwork. Office work includes working at the Library or any other office of the institute.
2. Personality Development workshop for University Representative:-
Training is an important aspect of good governance and this is done through this workshops. Fighting elections and winning them is one part but what is more important is how to deliver after one gets elected? How to work together as well as implement promises made and help improve the University administration?
After Completion of all elections process and nominations for the University representatives and University Students Council are over a two-day workshop for the representatives is arranged at the district level.
In all workshop lectures by eminent persons in the field of education are arranged. All the University representatives are given complete knowledge of their duties, rights and their contribution to society.
3. Youth Festival :-
There are two Youth Festival Programs in which the University always participate these youth festivals are organized at the state and national levels. Ultimately these give our students an opportunity to understand the different parts of Maharashtra as well as the country. It is an opportunity for the students of KBCNMU, Jalgaon to test their accomplishments at state as well as national levels. This gives them exposure and is a celebration of cultural diversity and difference, a unity in diversity. The Dept. of Students’ Development takes special care and interest that the students of the School Department of University/colleges/ institutes participate in these festivals with great zest. District - area Inter collegiate youth festival is and university level youth festival organize by KBCNMU every year.
4. Magazine Competition:-
To promote the art and habit of writing among the students, an annual magazine competition is organized by the Dept. of Students’ Development. This helps students to learn the art of writing, editing, publishing a magazine. All colleges/ institutes are requested to send copies of the magazine published by them to the Director, Dept. of Students ‘Development who in turn submits them to a panel of experts which is appointed by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor to judge these magazines and to declared Prizes at the University level as well as District level are awarded to the selected magazine the Principals are expected to be present to receive them at the Annual Prize Day organized by the Dept. of Students’ Development. The University gives funds for the same. The prizes are distributed at the Annual Prize day function organized by Dept. of Student development KBCNMU Jalgaon.
5. Special Programmes & Workshops for Girl students (Yuvati Sabha) :-
This scheme is introduced by the University to develop confidence and personality of a girl student who comes from the rural areas and deprived sections of society called as yuvati sabha. The marginalization and deprivation is double if you are a woman and from the backward or scheduled castes. The main objective of this scheme is to develop a critical mind, self-confidence and a commitment to society. The girl students are given training in health, law and social activities. They are also given training in self-employment and all possible other activities that enhance her social confidence. This scheme is open to all regular girl students from all the affiliated college / institutes. Funds for organizing these activities are provided by the University. The concerned college or institutes have to organize seminars, camps/workshops of yuvati sabha.
6. Students’ Council Elections :-
The University has University Departments Students’ Council and Students’ Council as specified under section 99 A. of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016. The constitutions of these councils are as below:
University Department Students’ Council:
There is a University Departments Students’ Council constituted as per clause 99 A. (2) (a) of Maharashtra Public University Act, 2016 consisting of following members, namely-

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, President,

Director of Students’ Development, Chairman,

Director of Sports and Physical Education, Member,
-
National Service Scheme Coordinator, Member,
-
One student from each University Department who has shown academic merit at preceding degree examination and is engaged in full time studies in the University Institutions or Departments or conducted college nominated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor.

Two girl students nominated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor and if there is no Pro-Vice-Chancellor.
Students’ Council for affiliated colleges/institutes:
There is a Students’ Council for each Institution, conducted colleges or affiliated colleges as per clause 99A (2) (b) of Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016, consisting of following members, namely-

One Lecturer, nominated by the Principal,

Teacher in charge of National Cadet Crops ,Member,

One student from each class, who has shown academic merit as the examination held in the preceding year and who is engaged in full-time studies in the college nominated by the Principal, Member,

One student from each of the following activities, who has shown outstanding performance, nominated by the Principal, namely–

Two girl students nominated by the principal.
The members of both these councils elect the Secretary/University Representative from amongst themselves as per clause 99A (3) of Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 of their respective council.
University Students’ Council:
There is a University Students’ Council for the University as per clause 99 A (4)(a) of Maharashtra Public University Act, 2016, consisting of not more than fifteen persons, nominated through selection, from amongst Secretaries/University Representatives of the respective councils under sub-section (3) as prescribed by the Statutes existing immediately prior to the date of commencement of this Act.:-
In this council, at least one seat each is reserved for students belonging to –
Scheduled Castes;
Scheduled Tribes;
De-notified Tribes; Tribes (Vimukta Jatis); Nomadic Tribes;
Other Backward Classes and
One seat for women students
Remaining seats are distributed district wise:
Provided further that, for the purpose of nominations through selection details based on academic performance, participation in National Cadet Corps, National Service Scheme and adult education, cultural activities or such other activities as may be prescribe by the Statutes existing immediately prior to the date of commencement of this Act.
(b) The University Students’ Council formed to elect its own President and Secretary.
The activity of the University Students’ Councils is to look after the Development of the students and to promote and co-ordinate the extra-curricular activities of different student’s associations for better corporate life.
7. Student Insurance Scheme:-
Health is an important part of the student. The need to provide health care at affordable costs has been an objective of the Dept. and the University. Most of the deprived and marginalized sections of society do not have access and availability to health care. Most of the students are anemic and this is prevalent among the girl students. To help these students, the University has introduced this scheme for all students of the University. Health facilities at health center with a panel of doctors as well regular staff is made available to the students. An Insurance scheme for all the students from all the college, institutes and the University campus was introduced by the Dept. of Students’ Development during every academic year till 30 September. Under this scheme an amount of Nominal Rupees per student is collected per year. The above scheme is run in collaboration with an insurance company. The University makes a contract with the insurance company and then as per the contract benefits are provided to the students. The contract period is decided between the University authorities and the Insurance Company. The contract is also renewable. All branches of the Insurance Company in the districts of Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar are informed about the same. The details about contact signed between the University and the Insurance Company are shared with all the colleges / institutes and all Heads of University departments, Principal of colleges / Director of institutes and Head of University departments are requested to bring the above to the notice of all the students.
In the affiliated college’s student Safety Insurance Scheme has started in 1993 by this department. Academic year 2017-18 Rs. 10/- are collected from the students at the time of admission this amount is paid to the Oriental Insurance Company Ltd., Thane as a premium of Group Insurance of the student. In case of accidental death of students , his parents / successors are eligible to receive Rs. 2,40,000/- from the Oriental Insurance Company and & Rs. 10,000/- from Hon’ble V.C. fund as compensation.
