Late Karmaveer Patil ‘Earn and Learn Scheme

  • Objective of the Scheme To help poor and needy students by giving economical help on doing some work.

  • Rules & Regulations The students should be a regularly admitted in School of the University/Affiliated Colleges.

  • Benefits of this scheme Rs. 15/- per hours will be provided to the student only up to the maximum of 3 hours in a day.

Student Research Motivation Scheme

  • Objective of the Scheme To help research students for the motivation of Research in the University as well as affiliated colleges.

  • Rules & Regulations The students should be a regularly admitted in the School of the University/Affiliated Colleges.

  • Benefits of this scheme Rs. 5,000/- Fist Prize, Rs. 3,000/- Second Prize, Rs. 2,000/- Third Prize

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Medical Fund

  • Objective of the Scheme To help the students of Schools/Affiliated College in case of serious disease and accident.

  • Rules & Regulations The students should provide the Medical Bill with concerned Doctor’s prescription.

  • Benefits of this schemeDependable on the Medical Bill.

KBCNMU Students Adoption Scheme

  • Objective of the Scheme To help 25 boys and 25 girls students of Schools on the University campus.

  • Rules & Regulations The student should be admitted in the Schools of the University on the campus.

    The student should be from Economically Backward Class.

    He/she should secure at least 60% marks in previous examination.

    The student should work at least 3 hours in the Karmaveer Bhaurao ‘Earn and Learn Scheme’

    The students should provide Certificate of Economical Backward Class from the Tahsildar/Magistrate.

  • Benefits of this schemeRs.10,000/- per year upto graduation,Rs.12,000/- per year upto post-graduation (Arts, Comm. & Management), Rs.15,000/- per year upto post-graduation (Science, Engg. & Technology)

Students Group Insurance Scheme

  • Objective of the Scheme To open Insurance Policy of students by charging meager fee of Rs.10/-.

  • Rules & Regulations The students be regularly admitted in the School/ Affiliated colleges.

Benefits of this scheme Rs.1,50,000/- from New India Insurance Company and Rs. 5,000/- from Vice-Chancellor fund will be provided to the parents/successor of the students in case of the death of the students.


Central Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students

The National Merit Scholarship Scheme, the objective of which was to provide financial assistance to meritorious students studying from Class XI to Post- Graduation level in Government Schools/Colleges and Universities has been discontinued with effect from 1.4.2007. However, a new Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students has been introduced during XI Five Year Plan. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from poor families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students is covered under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Programme of the Government of India, scholarships are disbursed directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. For more information click here:

Scholarship Scheme

Scholarships/Free ships are provided to the candidate belonging to SC, OBC, NT, SBC categories as per the rules of Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra. ST category candidates are provided with Scholarships/Free ships as per the rules of Tribal Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.

Research Fellowship in Sciences for Meritorious Students of UGC, New Delhi

The Research Fellowship in Sciences for meritorious students (RFSMS) scheme of the UGC is open to candidates who have registered for Ph.D. in Science in Universities with Potential for Excellence/Centres with Potential for Excellence/Centres of Advance Studies and Department of Special Assistance identified by UGC. INSPIRE Fellowship of DST, New Delhi

Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Eligibility criteria: 1st Rank Holders at University Level Examination (not at Autonomous College Level examination) of post-graduate programs in science streams and undergraduate / post-graduation programs in engineering / technology / agriculture / pharmacy / other applied science streams at any recognized universities and academic institutions.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship For Minority Students, UGC, New Delhi

The objective of the Fellowship is to provide integrated five year fellowships in the form of financial assistance to students from minority communities, as notified by the Central Government to pursue higher studies such as M. Phil and Ph.D. The Fellowship will cover all Universities/Institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) and section 3 of the UGC Act alongwith those which are not under the purview of UGC and will be implemented by the Ministry of Minority Affairs through UGC for students belonging to the minority communities. The fellowship under Maulana Azad National Fellowship for minority students will be on the pattern of UGC Fellowships awarded to research students pursuing regular and full time M. Phil and Ph.D courses. The fellowship holders under this Fellowship will be known as Ministry of Minority Affairs scholars.

Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship of UGC, New Delhi

These fellowships are open to candidates who have obtained Ph.D. degree or have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and meant for full-time research work. For more details click here:

Women Scientist-A (WDS-A) of Department of Science and Technology

The "Women Scientists Scheme (WOS)" has been evolved by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) for providing opportunities to women scientists and technologists between the age group of 30-50 years who desire to return to mainstream science and work as bench-level scientists. Through this endeavour of the Department, a concerted effort would be made to give women a strong foothold into the scientific profession, help them re-enter into the mainstream and provide a launch pad for further forays into the field of science and technology, both from the point of view of pure science and its application to societal development. Under this scheme, women scientists are being encouraged to pursue research in frontier areas of science and engineering, on problems of societal relevance and to take up S&T-based internship followed by self-employment. Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child of UGC, New Delhi
