General Criteria

• A candidate is considered to be eligible for admission to the post graduate course if he/she has secured at least 50% (or equivalent CGPA) marks at graduation (45% marks for backward class i.e., SC/ST/DT/NT/OBC/SBC/SEBC category candidates from Maharashtra state).

Specific Criteria

• The specific eligibility criteria in addition to above general criteria is B.Sc. (Physics).

• To impart sound theoretical and practical knowledge of the different core and applied subjects.
• To train the students to employ modern techniques, equipment, and software for the application of that subject in different areas.
• To train the students to utilize the knowledge and skills gained to deal with real-life situations and problems.
• To impart on-job training to the students.
• To impart training in research.

• With a Master's degree in Physics, you can pursue a variety of career paths in industries, research, academia and in government scientific fields. There are an ample number of organizations that offer excellent job roles for such graduates. These include BARC, BHEL, ONGC, NTPC, ISRO and so on. As a materials expert you work as a corrosion engineer or materials engineer in oil and Gas, polymer materials engineer and materials engineer in semiconductor industry.
