Since July 2016, the university has started Vice Chancellor Patent Motivation Scheme (VCPMS). Under the scheme, separate budget of 10–25 lakh has been allotted for each financial year, from which teachers, researchers, and students are promoted to file their patents through IPR Cell of the university.
