About Tribal Academy Nandurbar

Established in the academic year 2024–25, the Tribal Academy, Nandurbar is a unique initiative by KBCNMU Jalgaon, located in the tribal-majority district of Nandurbar. Spread over 25 acres at Tokartalav, the academy is envisioned as a centre of excellence for promoting education, preserving tribal heritage, and empowering marginalized communities. It serves students from Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, and adjoining regions.

Uniqueness of Tribal Academy

  • The centre is dedicated to tribal development.

  • Focus on tribal language, heritage, and livelihoods.

  • Combines modern education with indigenous wisdom.

  • Offers field internships, research fellowships, and policy engagement.

  • Emphasizes inclusive education for tribal women and youth.

Five-Year Vision Plan (2025–2030)
The Tribal Academy follows a detailed five-year development roadmap, covering:

  • Launch of degree, diploma, and certificate programs

  • Documentation of tribal knowledge and ecological practices

  • Development of tribal research hub and innovation labs

  • Organizing cultural festivals and language workshops

  • Creating sustainable livelihood pathways
