Events & Activities

Department of Mass communication and Journalism constantly runs knowledge oriented activities for all its students. The activities like lectures and workshops give our students an extra boost to think in a creative way. These activities involve the students to do some journalistic program, which helps them to be a good journalist. Below are some of the recent activities of this department.

  • Miss Dipali Jagtap, Broadcast Journalist, BBC News Mumbai, given online lecture on ‘Field Reporting’ on 30 October 2021.

  • Special lecturer program on ‘Mooknayak @100 Years’ held on 1 February 2020. Dr Babasheb Ambekar started the news paper ‘Mooknayak’ on 31 January 1920. In this year it was completed 100 years therefore department organized this special lecture program for the all students in university campus.

  • Marathi Journalism day program organized on 7 January 2019. Shri Milind Kulkarni, Editor, Daily Lokmat, Jalgaon was chief guest for this program.

  • Student’s communication program organized on 2 April 218. Mr.Makarand Dandavate, News editor, daily Divya Marathi Jalgaon was chief guest for this program.

  • Students of Department of Mass communication and Journalism, Solapur University Solapur was visited to our department on 23 March 2018.

  • Marathi Journalism day program organized on 6 January 2018. Mr. Hemant Alone, Editor, Daily Deshdoot, Jalgaon was chief guest for this program.

  • Fresher program organized on 21 September 2017. Mr. Vilas Bodakhe, PRO, District Information office, Jalgaon was chief guest for this program.

  • Lab Journal publication program organized on 6 September 2017. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. P.P. Patil sir and Honorabale Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof P. P. Mahulikar sir was guide the students on this occasion.

  • Special program on ‘Changing media and Public Relations’ was organized in the occasion of Marathi Journalism day (6 January 2017). Mr. Satish lalit, Department of Information and public Relation, Nasik was guiding the students on this occasion.

  • Wachan Prerana Din celebration on the occasion of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Jayanti on 15th October 2015.

  • Interview of National Award Winner Film Khwada’s Director Bhausaheb Karahade on 11th October 2015.

  • Lecture on soft Skills by Rahul Kapure at the School of Language, on 29th September 2015.

  • A senior Journalist Mr. Mujafar Hussan , a column writer and Padmashri award winner shared his views on “ The Present status of News Journalism in India “ on 30th July, 2013.

  • Guest expert Lecture was given by Post Doctoral Journalism Research Fellow , Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University on “ Developmental Journalism in Present era” on 23rd August, 2013.

  • Mr. Vishal Chadda a Sub Editor from Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi daily) delivered lecture on "The new trends of Broad Casting Media with the recent rise in FM channels". It was on 17th October 2013.

  • Mrs. Pragati Bankhele a Chief Copy Editor from Maharashtra Times Mumbai delivered a lecture on Journalism Day 6 th January 2014 to commemorate the memory of Darpankar, Balshastri Jambhekar. She guided students on print Media career
