General Criteria

• A candidate is considered to be eligible for admission to the post graduate courses offered by various schools/affiliated colleges of the university if he/she has secured at least 50% (or equivalent CGPA) marks at graduation (45% marks for backward class i.e., SC/ST/DT/NT/OBC/SBC category candidates from Maharashtra state).

Specific Criteria

• Selection is based entirely on candidates’ percentage of marks obtained at the graduation and availability of the seats.

• To train well-rounded journalists and mass media professionals with requisite technical and content generation skills.
• To train the students to suit the requirements of the media organizations and the society.
• To train the students in changing skills of news-gathering and editing.
• Prepare graduates to become continuous learner with aptitude for teaching and research with societal focus
• To prepare graduates who will enhance their ability to hone their analytical skills & prepare them both for being academicians or for working in the media industry
