Prof. Sameer P. Narkhede, born on March 13th, 1971, hails from Amravati, Maharashtra. He received his primary and
secondary education in his hometown before embarking on his academic journey. Graduating with a B.Sc. in Applied
Electronics and later completing his M.Sc. in the same field from Sant Gadge Baba Amaravati University, Professor
Narkhede displayed early prowess in his chosen domain. His academic pursuits culminated in a Ph.D. in Management
Information Systems from the same alma mater in August 2000.
Professor Narkhede commenced his professional career in April 1993 as a Computer Hardware Engineer at Dynamite
Computer Service in Nagpur, followed by a role as Resident Engineer at Nippon Denro Ispat Ltd. His journey continued
with a brief stint as a Service Engineer at RNS Instruments, Dombivali, before he assumed the position of System
Analyst at the UGC Computer Centre, Sant Gadge Baba Amaravati University, in June 1997. Over the years, he ascended
through the ranks, serving as an Assistant Professor at the School of Management Studies, Kavayitri Bahinabai
Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, and later transitioning to roles as Associate Professor and Senior
Professor.
Throughout his career, Professor Narkhede has demonstrated a commitment to excellence, garnering recognition such as
the Best Teacher Award from North Maharashtra University in 2015. Notably, he received a Certificate of Appreciation
for his pivotal role in streamlining the centralized online M.Sc. admission process in 2017. In addition to his
academic endeavors, Professor Narkhede has contributed significantly to administrative and co-curricular
initiatives, serving in various capacities such as Director of IQAC and as a member of numerous university
committees.
