• 5th September,2012 : A cultural program of light music was organized on the occasion of ‘aadarsh shikshak puraskaar’ organized by the university at the convocation ceremony hall.

• 23rd September,2012 : Organized lectures of local artistes for guidance to the students of the department as how to concentrate and understand various subjects discussed during the regional forums.

• Commencement : ‘Gaayan Sangeet Shiksha Varga’ was commenced for the children of teaching and non-teaching staff of the university, who are interested to learn music.

• Tribute to Pt. Ravi Shanker : Due to sad demise of Pt.Ravi Shankar a program of tribute was organized by the department to pay homage to late Pt.Ravi Shanker.

• 13th december,2012 : A cultural programme of singing was organized for the participants of ‘Avishkar’, the state level research competition,held at N.M.U, Jalgaon.

• 25th december,2012 : A cultural program of singing ‘Swar Sandhya’ was organized at Tahakali in the national service scheme camp.

• 5-9th january,2013 : A team of NMU participated in the ‘Yuvarang’ at Shirpur in which the team won two gold medals, one silver medal and one Bronze Medal, in the various competitions of music.

• Commencement : The subject music (singing) & instrumental, B.A. additional and M.A. Dance (Katthak) were commenced.

• 14-15th July 2011 : A two-days dance workshop was organized in the department jointly, with the Department of Students Welfare.

• 18th August,2011 : Classical recital of pt. Prabhakar Karekar was organized in the university senate hall by spic macay.

• 5th September, 2011 : A departmental programme of singing, to honor the teachers, was organized in the department on the occasion of teachers day.

• 16th 2011 : A departmental program of the student of the department ‘Bahaav geet’ was organized in memory of Late Shrinivas Khale.

• 5-9 October, 2011: The team of north Maharashtra University participated and performed in the ‘Indradhanushya Yuva Mahotsav’ held at Nasik.

• 28 December,2011: A cultural program of singing was organized at Takarkhede in the National Service Scheme Camp.

• 15 January 2012 : The students of the department performed a song in the program organize by the School of Language Studies and Women Studies Centre, NMU, Jalgaon.

• 9th January, 2012: The students of the department performed in the cultural proramme during National Conference organized by the school of Environmental & Earth Sciences, NMU, Jalgaon.

• 16-20th January, 2012 : A team of NMU participated in the ‘Yuvarang-2011’ held at Faijpur, Dist.Jalgaon in which the team won general championship-2011 & music championship-2011.

• 28th January,2012 : A departmental program of singing of the students of the department was organized on the occasion of ‘Vasant Panchami’ to celebrate the Vasanmahotsav. Also ‘University song’ was performed by the students during the inauguration ceremony of national forum organized by history department.

• 31st January- 2nd February,2012 : The ‘treeveni kalaa mahotsav’, the three-day national workshop on music, was organized by the department. It was organized fo the first time at nmu under the precious guidance of hon’ble-chancellor pro.dr.sudhir meshram

• 10th February,2012 : The department organized a programme of singing for the alumni of the School of Language Studies and Research Centre, nmu, jalgaon.

• 22th February,2012 : On the occasion of the mahostav, the ‘shankar bhajan sabha’ was organized by the debarment.

• 1st March, 2012 : The ‘university song was performed by the students of the department during the inauguration ceremony of the national workshop organized by the School of Education.

• 25 th March,2012 (Convocation) : On the occasion of Convocation Ceremony of the University songs and other Indian national songs were performed by the students of the department, as per protocol.

• On 18th August 2012 Department of Music organized concert of Pandit Shree. Prabhakar Karekar and discussed with students about classical music by Spic Makcay.

• 31st January 2012 to 2nd February 2012 Department of Music Organised ‘’Triveni Kala Mahotsav’’ with famous Kathhak dancer Pandita Mrs. Shama Bhate.She share her experinces and gave Kathhak demonstration to students.

• On 1st February Pandita Mrs. Manjiri Aalgaonkar grace the seminar. She guided the students on how to develop voice culture.

• On 2nd February famous Tabla artist Shree. Ramesh Shukla shared his experiences & demonstrated skills in Tabla vadan.

• A two day dance workshop was organisrd jointly with the Department of student welfare & Music department on 14th & 15th July 2011.
