The new technology has the capacity of acquisition, pictorial, visual and audio visual based on the silicon chip to the fibre optics. Mass Media has developed in various aspects and arena. Corporate and Market Industries are increasing drastically. Today in the digital Informatics age there is a vital need of well educated and well skilled Human resources with concern up dated knowledge. Considering all these market practical facts Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon runs the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism. This is one of the full-fledged regular prestigious Departments of the University. The Department has introduced two year post graduate course M.A. in Mass Communication and Journalism from the academic year 2006-07. It was in the year 2010-11, the two years Course was converted into semester Pattern .Well equipped and highly experienced faculties are the backbone of the department. Academic ratio of the Department is going very high since 2011. Yearly Result of the Students is also very meritorious with practical touch . Department’s faculties tries to give their best to the student in theories and in practical format honestly . The Department also published a Periodical namely ‘UMAVI VARTA’ from July 2008. The students, Researchers as well as the faculties fully co-operate and participate in publishing the issue in more than two languages.

In addition the Department concentrates not only on curricular syllabus but also on social, cultural, economical, personality development and extracurricular activities of the Khandesh students. The Department always tries to give ideal and practical knowledge to the students. For this Department always organizes seminars, Conferences , Workshops and speeches of major Media Persons. One of the striking activities of the Department is Study tour. It has been arranged with focusing the student’s practical knowledge.

And is expected to learn new trends and possibilities in print ,electronic Media and digital media. The Department takes lead in arranging interviews of prominent , ideal and famous healing personalities. Department Motivates the students to participate in Debate competition, drama, caption ,research, photography , cartooning and sports competitions etc. In a very short time, the Department has taken an initiative in quality Journalism education in India with respect to Global presence.
