• Basic objective of this program is to percolate and develop the Philosophy and Principles of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar through his thought.

• To study humanistic and judicious outlook conceived by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

• To investigate scientific and realistic thoughts of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar that lead to versatile development of human society.

• To disseminate the constitutional literacy at grass root level of society.

• To identify the untouched outlook of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar through his published and unpublished work.

• To develop the multidisciplinary approach of thinking for getting solution of social problems.

• To lead researches and projects on Economic, Social, Religious, Educational, Political and other genuine problems of nation in general and of weaker section.

Though globalization transforms the entire human life socially, economically and more so culturally the basic tenet for survival of human civilization has not altered till today. Prosperity of human society is based on principles of equality, sustainability; judicious outlook scientific view and every source of this tenet are the thought of great social reformer in India. Dr. Ambedkar’s thought, writings, social movement, speeches, discussion are some of the greatest sources that is meant for percolating equality for masses and cultivation of humanism. Thus North Maharashtra University, through this department aims to satisfy the very objectives of the great social thinker.
