General Criteria
- A candidate is considered to be eligible for admission to the post graduate courses offered by various schools/affiliated collegesof the university if he/she has secured at least 50% (or equivalent CGPA) marks at graduation (45% marks for backward class i.e. SC/ST/DT/NT/OBC/SBC category candidates from Maharashtra state).
Specific Criteria
- Selection is based entirely on candidates’ percentage of marks obtained at the graduation and availability of the seats.

For the admission to all three M.A. courses, an advertisement is published in some leading newspapers in the month of June-July every year. The prescribed application forms with a prospectus are available in the office of School |
The objectives of the MSW programme are as follows::
- To create critical understanding of social realities reflecting its changing nature and participate inthe dynamics of change
- To orient students on diverse population, their issues and social justice stance for social work practice
- To equip the students with skills to work with different groups and communities using social work practice methods and strategies.
- To inculcate professional values and ethics that guide social work graduates in professional practice.
- Develop interdisciplinary and specialized professional outlook, upheld the dignity and esteem of the social work profession and achieve self-actualization
- Employ participatory, action and evidence-based practices in the field settings.
